Southern France

After spending a couple of months in the cool, wet Pacific Northwest, I decided it was time for a bit of sun, with some history and art added in. I couldn't think of a better place than Southern France.
So, I have been using Beziers as a base, and so far have explored Narbonne and Perpignan as well. Plus, a quick visit to the beach at Valras. Yes, it is still way to cold for the beach but it was beautiful nonetheless.
From Beziers, all of these places are just 15 to 60 minutes by train or bus.
Being the off season, it is fun to tour around with much lighter crowds. Though the daytime temps are still near 60 F; and, as you can see the sun is shining. So, I think I chose wisely.
