Israel
**(Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of my trip to Israel, Palestinian territories, and Jordan as my devices were stolen as I returned to The States after this trip)

The heart of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.  A pilgrimage for so many believers, and a wonderful exploration for history lovers.  Visiting Israel, especially Jerusalem, is a unique experience.  I am not sure where else in the world you can experience thousands of years of history plus the origins of 3 of the world's 5 largest religions...all in one place.

Whether you are religious or not, it is an amazing experience to see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Wailing Wall, the path Christ took.

Walking through the tight streets of the Armenian quarter is like going back in time. There are few places that can compare in that respect; Athens, Greece comes to mind, but no others.

Stop at The Tower of David, and head up Via Dolorosa to St Anne's Church.  The Saint Savour Monastery, St. James Cathedral...reverent and fascinating.

Unfortunately, as a non-Muslim, I could not visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque which is an amazing home to so much history.
