Palestine (West Bank)
**(Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of my trip to Israel, Palestinian territories, and Jordan as my devices were stolen as I returned to The States after this trip)

The West Bank is situated between Jordan and the Dead Sea to the east, and Israel to the West.

Getting to the West Bank, and Bethlehem, are quite easy from Jerusalem.  Most people will take tour groups to Bethlehem, which is about 5 miles south.  For tourists like me this is not an issue, but, at my last visit, that area was off limits to Israelis.

I do not want these pages to be political, and certainly not religious, but my trip to The West Bank was eye-opening.

I am not a fan of tour groups for myself, so I took the "Blue Bus", which is used by Palestinians, down to Bethlehem.  The hardships and difficulties that these people face would be trying for anyone. Despite that, I found the people to be quite kind.

I ended up exploring around a bit more, and tried to find a site that was a bit off the beaten path. which ended with me lost, and without a car, a few miles outside of town.  I only had 2 choices...hitchhike or walk for miles in the desert. I chose to hitchhike and was picked up immediately by a very kind family that got me back to where I needed to be.

I hope I get another chance to visit in the future!

This is just one of the stories I have that have made me think of the Arab hospitality as the kindest in the world.
