These ruins from as long ago as 400 AD were amazing. Just an hour outside Mexico City. Pictured is the Sun Pyramid. The main walk way is about 2 miles long, and full of different structures. A great place to visit.
The good news about Mexico City is that the people here as are nice as any big city.
The bad news is that the stories of crooked cops stopping and extorting you are true. Luckily, this is the only time I have ever had this happen in all of the places I have visited. But, it does put a bad taste in your mouth. I checked with my hotel, and they confirmed it still happens to foreign, or even out of state, drivers. All in all, I will not let it ruin my trip!
