After exploring the southwest of France; and since I still wanted more sun, art and architecture, I decided to head just a little east and see Marseilles (France's 2nd largest city after Paris).
The upside is that I was able to take in some Marseilles sun and add a trip to Aix-en-Provence and a hike in the Parc National des Calanques (National Park of Creeks).
The downside is that a lot of the museums and exhibitions that I wanted to see were still closed for staffing and Covid. And, the garbage strike isn't helping. (the floors of the train station are getting downright sticky!)
Still, a really fun visit!!
But, as lovely as the French Mediterranean is, it is time to move onto another adventure.
