Stopped at Lake Atitlan, and took a Lancha (commuter boat) over to Santa Cruz to dive with AtiDivers.
There are no roads to the little villages around Lake Atitlan, except for Panajachel, where stayed. So, you have to take these little boats. The tourist rate from "Pana" to Santa Cruz is 10 Q one way (about $1.25).
First time diving in a lake, but Zach was a great dive master and was very patient with me trying to get used to the 7mm wet suit.
You can see parts of a hotel behind me in this pic, and we dove down to see the rest that the lake has swallowed up. This was great fun...but I still prefer diving in warm, clear oceans!
