I have spent the last couple of days in Antigua. This city has UNESCO world heritage designation...and I can see why. The old cathedrals are really cool. The original from the 17th and 18th centruy is amazing to tour, even though it was abandoned after the 3rd earthquake damagaed it.
The city sits in the shadow of 3 volcanos, and one of them was blowing off some steam today. Neat addition to the photo ops!
The center city is cobblestone streets with spanish colonial architecture everywhere.
