September 8th, 2019 - Travelling around the Iberian Peninsula now. First, I stopped in Bordeaux, France just to walk around old town by the river, then went down and visited the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. After that, I drove across Northern Spain and was surprised how green and pretty the drive was. I have discovered that I am not really a beach person, but they have a bunch of great ones there along the Bay of Biscay! I made a stop in Santiago de Compostela. However, I doubt if walking only 1/4 mile on the path to the Cathedral qualifies as a pilgrimage, though. :-) Finally, down to Porto, Portugal...a city with history and beaches. Tomorrow morning, I am going to head for Seville, Spain and slow down for a bit by spending a week there.
